How do I sign up my organisation?

In order to make use of our catalogue of programmes, a contract will need to be set up between MyFutureChoice and your organisation. This contract will provide the organisation with access to the MyHQ administration system, giving you the ability to order licences. Setting up this contract does not incur any cost and allows the organisation to set their minimum Annual Licence Order before signing their contract. Once an organisation has fulfilled their minimum Annual Licence Order for the year, they can then look to purchase as many additional licences over the course of the contract term as they require. Please contact our customer service team for more information.

What order should the programmes be taken in?

Our programmes can be taken in any order you choose, but we would recommend the following: MyFirstChoices (Ages 11-14), MyAptitude (Ages 14-16), MyCareerChoices/Eirquest (Ages 14-16) and MyUniChoices (Ages 16-18). It is worth noting that our programmes can also provide accurate and helpful results for adults and mature students.

Are MyFutureChoice tests psychometrically validated?

From initial exploration of potential paths to making critical decisions about study and careers post-16 and post-18, all of our tools have been carefully designed to help students make the best choices with confidence. Each one has been carefully developed in conjunction with occupational psychologist, Dr Charles Johnson. Our commitment to continual improvement means they are highly accurate, robust and psychometrically reliable.

Do the Programmes provide personality-based assessment?

The short answer is NO. Nor do they involve assessments of such personal characteristics as learning or thinking styles. The focus of the programmes is to identify educational and career choices that will suit the student. They do not attempt to describe their psychological make-up as students are still developing and maturing. In fact, different personalities and thinking styles can be effective (even necessary) in different aspects of a job. It is extremely unusual for there to be only one relevant personality type to every academic subject, profession or job.

How long does a licence last?

Students get their licence for life. Once a licence has been assigned to an individual, it becomes theirs indefinitely or until they request to close their account. Our licences do not expire.
